Three way ball valve is a type of ball valve used for switching the flow direction of media, which can connect two perpendicular channels. Widely applicable for changing the flow direction of media or achieving media diversion or mixing in pipeline systems such as environmental protection, oil products, metallurgy, steam, energy, papermaking, food, etc.
There are two types of three-way ball valves: three-way L-shaped ball valves and three-way T-shaped ball valves, which can meet different business process requirements. Principle and function: The three-way L-shaped ball valve is used to cut off two of the three pipelines, while the three-way T-shaped ball valve is used to merge and divert the three connected pipelines.
1. Working principle of double acting three-way ball valve:
Open the three-way ball valve: with 2 inlet ports and 4 outlet ports, push the two pistons apart to move towards both sides, and rotate the output shaft counterclockwise;
Close the three-way ball valve: 4 inlet ports and 2 outlet ports, push the two pistons to close towards the center, and rotate the output shaft clockwise.
2. Working principle of single acting three-way ball valve:
Open the three-way ball valve: with 2 inlet ports and 4 outlet ports, push the two pistons apart to move towards both sides, while compressing the spring, and the output shaft rotates counterclockwise;
Three way ball valve closed: When there is a loss of air or power, the spring pushes the two pistons to close and move towards the center, and the output shaft rotates clockwise.
Characteristics of three-way ball valve:
1. The three-way ball valve adopts a three body structure and a sealing type with four valve seats, making it easy to connect and highly reliable.
2. The three-way ball core is divided into T-shaped and L-shaped, with a long service life, high flow capacity, and low resistance
3. Ball valves are divided into two types: single acting and double acting. The characteristic of single acting is that once the power source fails, the ball valve will be in the state required by the control system.
A three-way ball valve is a three channel rotary ball valve used for medium diversion, merging, and flow direction switching. Any pipeline can be used as an inlet or outlet. It can meet different production process requirements, and any pipeline can be used as an inlet or outlet according to needs.
